# Why can't I sign in to my Accredible account using the same login details as my NASM/AFAA Customer Portal?

Accredible's secure data server is separate from NASM's system, so your login information is not shared between the two platforms. When you establish your Accredible account, you must use the same email address as your NASM/AFAA profile to ensure your badges are associated to your Accredible profile. From there, you can choose a password that meets Accredible's security requirements.
