APTE previously approved a Recertification extension for me. Will NASM honor the extended date?
Yes, NASM will honor any previously approved recertification extensions and all standard NASM Recertification Late fees will be waived. The details of your pre-approved recertification extension have been documented in your NASM Customer account for our Support team's reference. To ensure you are not charged the standard late fees, we will have to process your online recertification application manually. Please still follow all steps for uploading your continuing education records of completion and a copy of your current CPR/AED certification via the NASM Recertification Portal. Once you are ready to pay your application fee, please contact NASM Member Services for assistance at 800-460-6276 option 5. Our team will process payment for your application fee and submit a request to have your application manually reviewed.
As a reminder, all recertification applications are subject to the standard 30-day processing time and can be selected as part of the random audit process. For more information helpful articles regarding recertification, please visit our Recertification/Renewal section.
