I enrolled in the AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor (CGFI) exam on or before 2/25/2024, how long do I have to complete my exam?

If you enrolled in the Certified Group Fitness Instructor exam (CGFI) on or before 02/25/2024, you are currently enrolled in a version that will be officially retired on August 21, 2024. You must schedule and sit for the exam by this date. If you do not successfully complete your exam by August 21, 2024, you will be required to enroll in the new version of the Certified Group Fitness Instructor program.

 

Alternatively, you have the option to upgrade your course to the newly updated program at no additional cost until August 1, 2024. The new AFAA Group Fitness Instructor course includes updated content and two exam options: proctored and non-proctored. Please note, standard upgrade fees may apply after August 1, 2024.
